Kieran J. Purcell, P.E., to Speak at EECMA 2014 Annual Conference
Kieran J. Purcell, P.E., LEED AP, Environmental Division Manager, will speak at the 2014 Conference of Emerging and Environmental Claims Managers Association (EECMA) at Captiva Island, Florida, April 30-May 2, 2014 on the topic “Site Remediation - Lessons Learned and Challenges Ahead.” The presentation focuses on the upcoming challenges that the industry may face. Potential challenges for the future may include underground fuel storage tanks, vapor intrusion, and impacts on drinking water supplies. Recent advances in remediation technologies and the evolution of cleanup strategies for improving long-term management of site liabilities will also be presented. Mr. Purcell is an environmental engineer with extensive experience evaluating contaminated properties including manufactured gas plants, refineries, superfund sites, and commercial and industrial spill sites, as well as conducting sampling investigations, laboratory testing, specifying and designing remedial systems and evaluating the feasibility of performing alternative remedial strategies including long-term economic evaluations.
